The 3D printing process takes 4 essential steps before we can start hand crafting the piece. Once it’s 3D printed it goes into an ultrasonic batch for approximately 10 minutes. After which it’s thoroughly cleaned and sprayed with an air pressure gun to ensure every detail is clean from any excess resin which may deter the finest details on the prints.
After the parts are thoroughly clean they move into the UV light chambers where they are left to fully cure for at least 1 day.
At this point we can start assembly and the parts are all assembled using epoxy based adhesives for maximum strength and durability. Once all the parts are joined, all the seams are filled using expanding filament, then sanded and primed. After, t’s where the painting effects and artistry comes in to create the aged stone essence which helps to give the final effect of soul and history.
